We process files for your selected task
FileGrip temporarily receives and processes files solely to perform the operation selected by you.
We do not provide permanent file storage
Uploads and results are temporary working files.
FileGrip is not a cloud drive, archive, backup service, or permanent document repository.
Files normally expire within 30 minutes
Uploaded files and generated results normally expire within 30 minutes after a job completes or fails.
Scheduled cleanup processes remove expired files and related temporary records.
Interactive files may be removed earlier
When an interactive workflow confirms that a result has been released, FileGrip may remove its temporary files before the normal 30-minute period ends.
Email-delivery workflows may remain briefly
When a workflow includes requested email delivery, the temporary job may remain available after browser navigation so the delivery can finish.
It remains subject to the same expiry and cleanup lifecycle.
We do not sell or reuse file contents
File contents are not sold, used for advertising, used to create marketing profiles, or used to train artificial intelligence models.
Download links are temporary
Result links can expire and may stop working after a configured number of downloads.
Several current workflows use a default maximum of five downloads.
Limited technical records may remain
Removing file contents does not necessarily remove every technical record at the same moment.
Limited job metadata, file sizes, timestamps, errors, queue metrics, IP addresses, browser details, and security records may be kept where reasonably needed for operations, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, support, or legal compliance.
What you should do
- Keep your original file.
- Download completed results promptly.
- Do not use FileGrip as permanent storage.
- Avoid uploading information that is not needed for the selected task.
Temporary deletion protects privacy, but it also means FileGrip cannot restore an expired file.
